At Nelspruit Hospice, we are committed to transparent, accountable, and ethical leadership. Our governance structure ensures that we operate in full compliance with South African legal, ethical, and healthcare standards—allowing us to serve our patients, donors, and community with the highest level of trust.

      Governance Structure

      Nelspruit Hospice is governed by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors representing a range of disciplines including healthcare, business, spiritual care, and financial oversight. The board meets regularly to guide strategic direction, monitor compliance, and review financial and operational reports.

      Financial Accountability

      We strive for financial transparency and efficient resource use. All income, including donations and fundraising revenue, is carefully allocated to:

      • Patient care and nursing services

      • Medical and mobility equipment

      • Community outreach and education

      • Operational maintenance of Hospice House

      • Volunteer training and program development

      Annual independent audits are conducted, and summaries can be shared with donors, funders, and partners upon request.
